A 15cm glass globe sits on a small brass cup at the top of a long, straight stem, held off the wall by a short arm and a round backplate. At 60cm tall it has real presence, yet it stays slim enough for a hallway, a landing or either side of a bed.

Choose amber glass for a warm, candlelit glow, smoky grey for a softer and moodier light, or clear glass to show off a decorative bulb. The light spills both up and down, washing the wall above and below the globe.

Why you'll love it

A long brass stem with a tall, elegant mid century style silhouette

A 15cm glass globe in amber, smoky grey or clear

Up and down light that softly washes the wall

Sold as a single light, or as a pair for either side of a mirror, bed or fireplace

A brushed brass gold finish that sits as well in a period room as a modern one

Where it works

Hang a pair either side of a mantel mirror or a headboard for a balanced, hotel style look. A single Schwerin above a console table makes a quiet focal point in a hallway, and the long stem suits tall walls and high ceilings particularly well.

Installation and bulb

The Schwerin is a hardwired fitting for fixed wiring, with no plug. Please have it fitted by a qualified electrician. It takes one E14 bulb, which is not included. A small globe or candle shaped E14 LED bulb in warm white looks beautiful through the glass.

About the name

Schwerin is a lakeside city in northern Germany, known for the castle that sits on its own island in Lake Schwerin.
