A glowing amber dome on a slim walnut tone stem, 155cm tall
In stockShips by Mon 2 Nov
Key features
A tall mushroom floor lamp with a domed amber shade that turns the light honey warm, set on a slender stem that runs from a fine metal rod into a walnut tone column and a round dark base. Switched on, the whole dome glows like the last of a sunset. About the name: Aalen is a town at the foot of the Swabian Jura in southern Germany, where the remains of the largest Roman cavalry fort north of the Alps lie under its fields.
Measured by hand, allow 1 to 3 cm either way.

Light passes through the amber dome and comes out soft and golden, pooling beneath the shade. Stand it beside a sofa arm, a reading chair or a sideboard and the corner becomes the place everyone wants to sit in the evening.
Where a fabric column lamp spreads light evenly, the Aalen gathers it into a warm pool under a sculpted dome. It is a statement in its own right, with a retro, mid century character that sits happily beside oak, leather, linen and velvet.
