Meet the Lubeck, a hardwood chopping board with a groove to catch the juice.
Made for work
A 1.5cm thick board in solid hardwood with a channel cut round the edge of the top face. Carve a roast, slice tomatoes or cut a loaf, and the juice runs into the groove instead of across the worktop.
Kind to knives
Wood gives slightly under the blade, so edges stay sharp longer than on glass or stone. Turn it over for bread and cheese on the flat side.

A solid hardwood with a warm striped grain. We describe it as hardwood rather than name a species we cannot confirm.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
No. Hand wash, dry it standing up, and oil it now and then.
How do I look after it?
Wash it before first use, dry it upright after each wash, and rub in food safe mineral oil once a month.
