Meet the Celle, four peg hooks turned from solid walnut.
Each one is a short cylinder, 5cm long and 3.5cm across the face, cut at an angle so whatever you hang tips gently back towards the wall and stays there. There is no rail, no backplate and no visible screw. Just four pieces of dark timber standing off the wall.
They are solid walnut rather than veneer, so the grain runs through the body and shows on the angled end. The oil finish leaves the wood looking like wood.
Hallways, bathrooms and the back of a door
Run them in a line by the front door for coats and bags. Put two beside a basin for towels. Step three up a bedroom wall for a dressing gown and a hat. Because they are sold as four, you can split them across rooms.
Fixed straight into the wall
Each peg has a threaded insert in the back. Fix the supplied screw into the wall with its plug, then wind the peg on. The maker rates each one to 15kg in a solid wall. They belong with the Visby oak rack and the Husum bin, and with anything in oiled timber.

How do they fix to the wall?
Each peg has a threaded insert in the back. You fix the supplied screw into the wall with its plug, then wind the peg onto it. On plasterboard, swap the plug for a plasterboard fixing.
How much can they hold?
The maker rates each peg to 15kg in a solid wall. That is a heavy winter coat and a full bag with room to spare.
Are they real walnut?
Yes, solid walnut all the way through, finished with oil rather than lacquer. Expect the colour and grain to vary a little between pegs.
