Plastic feet, metal brackets and water bowls rarely look festive. The Rothenburg wraps around the base of the tree and hides the lot, giving a clean, finished line from the floor up. Unlike a fabric tree skirt, it holds its own shape, so there is nothing to smooth out or tuck in every time a present goes under the tree.
The knit is fixed over a stiff inner lining, so the collar stands upright in a gently flared drum rather than slumping. It opens at an overlapping seam, so you simply wrap it around the stand and close it up, with no need to lift the tree.
Cream sits happily with almost any scheme: natural wood and dried orange decorations, glass and gold baubles, or a frosted, all white tree. At 72cm across and 23cm tall it suits most full size real and artificial trees, and it packs flat into a cupboard once January comes round.
Every dimension is measured by hand, so allow 1 to 3 cm either way. Measure your space before you order.
