Underneath the tray sits a hinged wooden clip shaped like an open triangle. Fold it down and it straddles the arm, holding the tray level on square, curved and rounded sofa arms up to about 21.5cm wide. Lift it off and the clip folds flat against the underside, so the whole piece slips into a drawer, behind the sofa or into a bag for the holiday cottage.
The tray is cut in natural wood with a soft, pale grain and a gently raised lip around the edge, so a coaster, a cup or a few snacks stay put.
