The top bar loops out from the wall, ready for a hand towel, a bath sheet or a linen robe to hang and dry. Below it sit two shelves: one just under halfway for soap, a candle or a small plant, and one at the base, deep enough for a neat stack of rolled towels. It is a two tier design, tall and narrow at 77cm by 28.5cm, so it fits beside a bath, above a toilet or in the gap next to a basin.
The frame is square section metal in a matte black finish, thickened for extra strength, and each shelf rests on its own black metal channel so it stays level and secure. The shelves have a rustic walnut finish with a visible grain that softens all that black, a pairing that sits as happily in a period townhouse bathroom as in a clean modern one.
It screws straight into the wall, and the screws and wall plugs come in the box. Because it hangs rather than stands, the floor stays clear, which makes small bathrooms, cloakrooms and laundry rooms feel calmer and easier to clean. It works just as well in a hallway for scarves and hats.
