Meet the Marburg, a headphone stand that takes up a coaster's worth of desk.
Why a stand
Headphones left flat on a desk crush their pads and tangle their cable. Hung on a curved cradle the band keeps its shape and the pads stay round. The cradle is walnut, shaped in a double arc so the band sits in the dip and cannot slide off.
Built simply
An aluminium base, one aluminium column and the walnut cradle, fixed with a stainless steel screw. Black or silver for the metal. The walnut is the same on both.

Will it fit my headphones?
Yes, if they are over-ear or on-ear. The cradle is wide enough for a padded band and the stand is 27.5cm tall, which clears the ear cups on large studio headphones.
Is the wood real?
Yes. The cradle is walnut wood. The column and base are aluminium.
Does it tip?
No. The base is wide for the height and the column is short.
