A sofa does a lot of living. The Mariefred takes the brunt of it, from muddy paws and dog hair to crumbs, coffee and little hands, then comes off for the wash while the sofa underneath stays as it was. It is also the quickest way to change the feel of a room for autumn and winter without buying a new sofa.
The herringbone is fine and low, so it reads as a soft woven texture rather than a pattern. Chenille has a gentle sheen that catches window light, and the frayed fringe softens every edge where it meets the floor.

Soft and slightly velvety, with a fine woven herringbone texture and a gentle sheen. It is a chenille weave, with a short frayed fringe along the hem.
It drapes over the sofa rather than fitting it. Tuck the spare fabric into the gaps between the cushions and the frame and it holds its shape well with everyday use.
