Meet the Saeby, a table runner in pure linen with a soft, relaxed texture and neat hemmed edges. Laid down the centre of a dining table, it frames the plates and candles and makes an ordinary supper feel like an occasion, and it is just as good on a sideboard or a kitchen island. Choose 140cm for a four seat table or 200cm for six to eight, in natural, white, sage, caramel or dark grey. About the name: Saeby is a small fishing town on the east coast of North Jutland in Denmark, with a harbour and an old church full of wall paintings.

140cm suits a four seat table, 200cm a six to eight seat table or a runner that hangs over the ends.

Can I tumble dry it?

Line drying is best for linen; a cool tumble is fine if you remove it while damp.
