A slim tube of natural marble on an offset copper backplate, in gold or black. Off, it reads as carved stone. On, the light passes through the marble so the whole tube glows warm while a soft wash spills up and down the wall. Hardwired, best fitted by an electrician.

The shade is natural marble, not resin or printed acrylic, so no two pieces carry quite the same veining. That is the point of it. Each Saalfeld has its own pattern, and it shifts in character from day to evening as the light behind it comes up.
The body is copper, finished in warm brushed gold or a deep black, with neat end caps top and bottom and an offset rectangular backplate that keeps the tube about 10.5cm from the wall. Gold leans towards a period hallway or a cream bathroom. Black suits darker paint colours and a more graphic scheme.
One beside a doorway or above a console makes a statement on its own. Two either side of a mirror, a bed or a fireplace is where it really comes together, which is why we offer the Saalfeld as a matched pair as well as singly.
The Saalfeld is a hardwired wall light. It has no plug and is fitted directly to your mains supply, so please have it installed by a qualified electrician.
Every dimension is measured by hand, so allow 1 to 3 cm either way. Measure your space before you order.
