A statement chandelier made of linen look fabric drums stacked one inside the next, each a little smaller than the one above, with a gently waved edge and a turned wood finial at the base. Lit, every tier glows at a slightly different strength, so the light falls in soft rings. About the name: Lauenburg is a small town on the River Elbe in northern Germany, where the old skippers' houses step down the hillside to the water.

The fabric hides the bulb completely and lets the light through evenly, so there is no glare from below or the side. Each tier glows at its own strength, and the stacked outline reads beautifully even when the light is off.
Unlike a single pleated or gathered shade, the Lauenburg is a layered sculpture, made to be the main light of a room. It suits a period ceiling rose as well as a plain modern ceiling, over a dining table, in a living room or a tall hallway.
The bulb comes included, in warm, neutral or cool white.
