A slim stem rises from a round base to a flat disc shade that throws warm light down onto the table. It is the shape you see on restaurant tables, and like those it has no cable. Charge it, then carry it to wherever you are sitting.

A full charge lasts an evening, and longer when dimmed. Put it back on charge overnight and it is ready again.
How do I turn it on and dim it?
Touch the top of the lamp. Each touch steps the brightness. There are no small buttons to find in the dark.
Can I use it outside?
Yes, on a garden or terrace table in dry weather. It is not made to stay out in the rain, so bring it in afterwards.
